I Let Her Go Blog Tour Round-Up

My fourth psychological thriller, I Let Her Go, is scheduled for release on ebook and audiobook from August 10th 2021. Below is a snapshot of some of the glowing reviews this title has received as part of the blog tour, organised by Rachel’s Random Resources.

R E Loten:

The central characters are all damaged in some way by their pasts and that shared history has a direct impact on the events in the book. Josh, Lucy and Linda act as the narrators and all three are unreliable, so at no point does the reader ever feel that they have a true grasp on what is going on...

Just Katherine:

Who is innocent and who is guilty? The tension is well built up and I liked the alternating points of view as a chapter structure because they helped go deeper into each character’s experience and helped the already fast pace. The pacing was fast but not so fast I could not keep track of what was going on...

My Reading Getaway:

This story is told from multiple POV and timelines. The story will go from the present to the past in order to provide more context. What I liked best about this book was the surprises that keep coming...

Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews:

A grabbed onto my heart and held onto it tight for the prologue!! Boy oh boy was that an emotional one!!! An eleven year old girl writing such a powerful and heartbreaking letter! Oh I knew this was going to be a good book that was going to keep my attention the whole way through!

The Review Crew:

There are twists and turns along the way.  The first 2/3rds to 3/4s of the book moves at a slow pace, but the last piece picks up and hops along as you learn everyone’s secrets...

Bookish Jottings:

Fast-paced, sinister and creepy, in I Let Her Go, J A Andrews has penned a terrifying psychological crime thriller where he exquisitely piles twist after twist keeping readers on the edge of their seats desperate to find out what is going to happen next. A first-rate chiller that will have readers double-checking they’ve locked their doors and windows, I Let Her Go is a top-notch tale about keeping your friends close and your enemies closer, dangerous secrets and past sins fans of the genre are going to love…

Library_of_LucyG:

Told by several points of views, over past and present timelines, the story starts with a letter from an eleven-year-old child. This was the perfect way to begin in my opinion as I was gripped straight away and emotionally invested from the first few pages...

M Reads Books N Fics:

I Let Her Go is a thriller that will grip you from the start and keep you reading the whole time. I liked Lucy, and I did feel bad for her because she had so much guilt. I just thought the whole story was well done, and I was very shocked by how it all turned out. I think this is one of the best thrillers I have read in awhile...

Ginger Book Geek:

The author certainly knows how to grab your attention and reel you in as the saying goes.  The author has one of those very vivid and realistic writing styles that makes the reader feel as though they are part of the story themselves and at the heart of the action.  The author writes about some difficult subjects but writes about them honestly and with compassion.  Reading ‘I Let Her Go’ was like being on one hell of a scary and unpredictable rollercoaster ride with many twists and turns along the way...

Tizi’s Book Review:

This story had me on the edge of my seat, I wanted to discover the truth together with Lucy. There were twists I didn’t see coming, and they made me frown, because realization dawned that in the end, how good do you know the people around you?

Nicki’s Life of Crime:

OMG, I love this talented author’s gripping, addictive thrillers and this latest addition to his catalogue was no exception. The story hooks you in from the first page, the plot twists and turns keep you guessing and glued to your kindle. The title of this book is ingenious and could be synonymous with any one of the main characters. The small cast of characters were vivid, realistic, relatable individuals each with their own unique personalities and character traits. This is a absolutely, bloody incredible read, worth far more than five stars, very very highly recommended and definitely going to be one of my favourite reads of this year…

Ceri.WelshMumof3.Reads:

The book is all about how everything comes to light while they all try to figure out if one of them involved killed Amber. I found the ending really rushed and parts of the book completely irrelevant to the ending. I kept waiting for things to be made relevant but it never came…

QuirkyBookReads:

The character development of I Let Her Go is good. The characters are interesting and realistic. I felt a lot of empathy for the characters in their young years and can see how much help and guidance they still need as adults…

Karenandherbooks:

There are plenty of twists and turns and it definitely kept me guessing. I loved the characters in this book, they were really well developed which speaks volumes for the author

Bookworm1346:

I loved the synopsis of this book and thought that it would be a book that I would really enjoy. However, the book took me a while to get into. Once I got into the book, I immediately started to put theories together and suspected everyone…

Sharon Beyond The Books:

A psychological thriller that shows you should keep your enemies close. It even gave me goosebumps and made me double-check the locks! J.A. Andrews has skillfully placed twists after terrifying twists in ‘I Let Her Go’, enough to have you second-guessing every move of the story...

Victoria Wilks Writes:

This book had me hooked from the very beginning. The story is so unique and perfectly paced, I found myself being swept along with all the drama and suspense from the moment I turned the first page. I loved how the author provides each character with their own unique voice, and all of them having their own flaws and secrets to uncover as the story pushes forward. A truly chilling story that has you immersed to the end…

@aloveofbooks_nic:

This book grabbed my attention. I knew it was one for me to read when I read the synopsis! It is a dark , twisty thriller. The chapters are told in alternating points of view from four of the characters. We get to know the thoughts of the main three characters, they are all well written, they are all full of flaws and they are some quite gritty people ! We certainly get Stephen Kings ‘Misery’ vibes here! The alternating voices made for a great tension building read! We really struggle to work out who to trust!

Joyful Antidotes:

What I actually liked about the characters in this book is that they are totally unpredictable. That means I get a story that keeps me guessing and the exciting ride that only plot twists and turns can provide. Each of these twists are made to grab your attention, meaning you won’t be putting down I Let Her Go anytime soon…

Bookswithacuppa:

I really enjoyed the teasingly slow burn of this thriller. I feel like I know these characters so well, that I’ve had a window into their soul – JA Andrew’s descriptive writing style is that good! The level of suspense was great and kept me hooked throughout...

Many thanks to everyone on the blog tour who took the time to read and review my latest thriller. I let Her Go is available in ebook and audiobook from online retailers.
